Meet Jake

Jake BENTLEY YOUNG is an actor and artist based in New York City.

Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Jake spent most of his childhood balancing baseball games by day and community theatre rehearsal by night. He is a proud alumni of Texas State University, where he earned his BFA in Musical Theatre under the direction of Kaitlin Hopkins. He has worked closely alongside Lauren Lane, Kiira Schmidt, Jim Price, Sarah K. Brown, and Neil Patrick Stewart. Jake also attended The Atlantic Acting School, studying under Paris Ellsworth.

Over the years, he has performed at numerous regional theaters including Paper Mill Playhouse, Broadway at Music Circus, Bay Street Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Stages St. Louis, and the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. Most recently, Jake starred in The Queen of Versailles on Broadway.

In addition to performing, Jake is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a musician and songwriter, and a self-proclaimed existentialist. He is also enthusiastic about reframing the way society perceives masculinity in the arts. In 2018, he delivered a TEDx Talk titled “I’m Masculine Because I’m an Artist.
